Our university is located north of the Mersin-Adana highway, in a convenient area easily accessible by road, motorway, and high-speed train from these cities. After arriving in Tarsus via these transportation options, students can easily reach our university using the metropolitan municipality buses, which have a high passenger capacity. The frequency of these public transportation services has been increased over time, ensuring that our students will not face any difficulties in transportation.

Turkey’s strategic location and its borders with many countries offer a wide range of employment opportunities for individuals trained in the customs field. Graduates who successfully complete the Customs Management Department can find employment in units affiliated with the Ministry of Trade, Customs Directorates, Customs Brokerage firms, Free Zones, logistics and warehousing companies, as well as national and international firms or their customs departments. They can work under titles such as foreign trade specialist, customs officer, customs broker, and customs inspector.
 

Are internships required for students to graduate from the department?

In our department, students are required to complete an internship before graduation.
 

Can department students benefit from the summer school?

A summer school program may be offered within the academic year. The principles regarding education and training during the summer school are determined by the University Senate. Students can take courses from summer schools of other higher education institutions based on the principles set by the Senate and with the approval of the relevant unit’s executive board. The transfer of credits and grades for the courses taken is carried out by the decision of the relevant unit’s executive board. The conversion of grades from other higher education institutions is done according to the principles determined by the Senate.
 

Can department students benefit from national and international student exchange programs (such as Farabi, Erasmus, etc.)?

Our students have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at a university abroad through the Erasmus program, with which our department has agreements. They can also study for one or two semesters at any higher education institution within the country through the Farabi program, which is based on inter-institutional agreements.
 

What is the language of instruction in the department?

The language of instruction in our department is Turkish. However, the curriculum also includes Foreign Language-1, Foreign Language-2, and a “Professional English” course, enabling students to improve their language skills related to the field.
 

What are the exam application principles?

Students take at least one midterm exam and a final exam each semester. However, based on the decisions of the relevant department boards, other semester activities such as projects, seminars, fieldwork, quizzes, assignments, internships, laboratory work, and similar assessments may also be conducted. The final exam contributes 60% to the overall letter grade. For undergraduate final exams, students must score at least 40 out of 100 points to pass.
