On April 30, 2024, our students from the Customs Management Department visited the Mersin International Port (MIP) and Mersin Free Zone, accompanied by Dr. Nuh Keleş and Research Assistant Dr. İpek Gürsoy. Under the supervision of MIP personnel and Customs Enforcement Officers, they had the opportunity to tour the port and observe operational activities on-site. At the Mersin Free Zone, they attended a presentation on the importance of customs and logistics practices delivered by Haşim Mıdık, Director of the Mersin Free Zone Customs Office; Evren Deniz, Deputy Director of the Mersin Free Zone; and Umut İlli, Commercial Tariff Chief at MESBAŞ. The students also closely examined the zone and its operations.
